Mental Health Skills for Managers
Who is the course for?
To create a mentally healthy workplace it is vital to build supportive relationships between managers and team members. This four-hour training course will provide a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing, promoting healthy performance across the whole organisation.
Managers who can support the mental health of their teams will encourage employees to thrive, increasing talent retention and reducing the impact of presenteeism and long-term sickness absence. Providing this training to everyone with people management responsibilities will ensure a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing across teams and departments. By role modelling good self-care practices, attendees will inspire others to look after their own mental health and wellbeing.
What can I expect?
This four-hour session can be delivered in person face to face or online and gives your employees the skills to keep their mental health support up to scratch. They will practice how to identify if an employee may be experiencing poor mental health and feel confident having open conversations about mental health with their team members.
Attendees will be able to appropriately signpost to available support and know where to go for support and guidance for themselves. Being able to role model good self-care practice, will inspire their teams to look after their own mental health and wellbeing.
Those attending will receive a certificate of attendance, tools to take care of their own mental health as a manager as well as tools to empower their teams. Workbooks are provided to use during the course as well as digital support resources to help embed ongoing learning and development.
