meet red.
breed: Labrador.
age: 14 weeks.
instagram: N/A.
favourite treat: Wotsits.
favourite cuddles: On the sofa whilst being fed Wotsits.
favourite game: Tuggy.
what gets their tail wagging most? Any member of the family coming home.
what job do red and deb do? Deb is a learning resource designer, specialising in online training delivery and qualification design. Red is a young apprentice, and watches the screen keenly from the sidelines.
what was their first day in the office like? Red slept on the job – a lot!
how often does red go to the office? We work from home, so every day.
what is red’s favourite thing to do in the office? Play with her older brothers – Domino the Dalmatian and Daniel the Spaniel.
does red like sharing her office space? Absolutely – she loves to learn and play with whoever is willing to join in. Just don’t try to get her to share her food.
other than you (of course) who is red’s favourite colleague? Domino the Dalmatian, without a doubt. He is equally as crazy.
how has having red at work improved the working environment? She ensures that Deb has regular time away from the screen – consistent checks are necessary to prevent unauthorised chewing! She also provides unconditional cuddles and love which is a huge stress relief. Lunchtime puppy training sessions ensure that midday walks happen and everyone gets some mental stimulation.
does red ever get up to mischief/any embarrassing office stories? She has chewed through countless laptop chargers and headsets – if you leave it unattended, it gets chewed! There have also been many zoomy Zoom calls – with Deb trying to have a professional online conversation whilst Red is hurtling round the room in the background!
paws in home bonus question! how is red coping with the UK on lockdown? She has her brothers, Domino and Daniel, to play with, however she may have to undertake some online puppy training rather than face-to-face due to the lack of puppy classes. She might struggle to work the laptop… Socialising with other dogs outside the household whilst she is still a pup will no doubt be an obstacle to overcome.
