meet margot.
breed: Australian Labradoodle.
age: 10 months.
instagram: @margotthealmighty
favourite treat: Wainwright’s Dog’s Best Friend Turkey & Rice biscuits.
favourite cuddles: A belly rub!
favourite game: Chasing a ball.
what gets their tail wagging most? Any human contact – she’s extremely loving and playful in nature and this shows when you’re in her company.
what job do margot and josh do? I run a marketing consultancy called Aim High Marketing, alongside my wife Kerry who runs her own social media consultancy, Aim High Social.
what was their first day in the office like? It was really exciting, not a lot of work was achieved, but we wanted to focus on ensuring Margot was comfortable in getting to know us.
how often does margot go to the office? Every Wednesday – we ‘dog-sit’ Margot for a friend and get to spend time with her once-a-week.
what is margot’s favourite thing to do in the office? Play – she’ll wait by our feet and any opportunity to engage in some play-time will be taken.
does margot like sharing her office space? Yes, but like any dog, she’s curious when we have visitors or the postman knocks.
other than you (of course) who is margot’s favourite colleague? Kerry (my wife) is Margot’s number one favourite hands-down – she follows her everywhere.
how has having margot at work improved the working environment? It’s amazing the difference in our stress levels when she’s with us – we are a lot more relaxed. Starting the day with a walk with her has now become our favourite part of the week.
does margot ever get up to mischief/any embarrassing office stories? Like a lot of pups, Margot loves a good chew and has worked her way through a few footballs and has taken a shine to some of the plants in our garden.
paws in home bonus question! how is margot coping with the UK on lockdown? Her (real) mum and dad are both Teachers and have now returned to work, so no doubt she’s missing them not being around, but in general, she’s fortunate to be looked after within the working week so hasn’t had to miss too much human contact and companionship.
