Inside Paws HQ - March
It’s been a busy March here at Paws in Work HQ, with 21 Puppy Therapy events across London, with the likes of VCCP, Workspace and Entertainment One getting their well-deserved puppy fix. We also delivered mental health first aid training to companies such as Beacon, something we believe that every office should have.
We practice what we preach here at Paws in Work and to celebrate a very busy first quarter, staff were told to pop on their 'out of office' and focus on their own wellbeing. Not only did we enjoy a much-needed lie-in, but we also took some time to ourselves which included settling down on the sofa with a good book, building a floral Lego display and heading to the gym and spa. We later met up as a team to celebrate further with a quick game of ping pong and a cocktail (or three!).
The destroyer of shoes, fingers, toilet roll and all of our hearts!
Alongside our puppy therapy events, we also offer mental health training courses and in March we trained a brand new cohort of eager employees to become mental health first aiders in their workplace. Find out here how you can book one of our accredited courses.
We had the absolute pleasure of socialising a litter of 6-week-old Dogue De Bordeaux’s (or French Mastiff as they are commonly known). They can grow up to 65kg, so we appropriately nicknamed them after famous rugby faces: Jonny Wilkinson, Nigel Owens, Ugo Monye, Owen Farrell and Henry Slade. They certainly melted some hearts, and graduated well and truly socialised; a huge benefit to the puppies.
Paws in Work also bring puppies to Universities and this student from Chapter Living really took the opportunity to chill out and forget about the stresses of exams and coursework. Did you know that cuddling a puppy can release oxytocin (the love hormone) which certainly ensured the students left feeling happy, relaxed and ready to tackle a day of lectures and assignments.

Our mission is to "create a better life for people and pups", so it was amazing to help a nervous attendee at Amazon last month overcome his fear of dogs. Our puppy therapy sessions aren’t just for dog lovers, and can be a safe and calming environment to help with fears, how could you resist a sleeping French Bulldog?
See you next month for our round-up of April!
