Inside Paws HQ - April
It’s been another busy month here at Paws in Work HQ, we’ve been hard at work socialising puppies, giving employees the chance to step away from the desk, switch off and enjoy some well needed puppy cuddles. Some of those benefitting from puppy therapy were those at the Amazon distribution centres, Porsche, Ambassador Theatre Group (the pups loved listening to some musical ballads) and we returned to visit our good friends at Trainline.
This month, five litters of puppies all graduated from our socialisation programme and now onto their forever homes as happy as can be! We all fell in love with two litters of cuddly French Bulldogs, a gorgeous bunch of Dachshunds and some very cheeky Pugs.
We also delivered many Mental Health training courses, with 50 new mental health first aiders in offices in and around London. Paws in Work provide a variety of MHFA accredited courses which can help employees understand their mental health as well as provide support networks for their colleagues in need.
Outside of Paws HQ, some of us had the pleasure of attending the wedding of our lovely Sales Executive Olivia and her now husband Dave! We spent the weekend in her hometown of Ottery St Mary in Devon and truly switched off, spent time together as a team outside of work, and even played football on the beach (yes, in April!). Despite the 3.5-mile hike home from the wedding, some would call it team bonding, we had the most amazing time!
We even got to meet the famous ugo, look at the size of those paws!
We tasked some of the Paws in Work dogs to react to their name in slow motion, see the results on our Instagram here - Nellie has definitely done this before!
One thing we absolutely love at Paws in Work is supporting others wherever possible and doing our 'bit'. The huge amounts of toys that we simply can't mix from litter to litter, were sent to our friends at Support Dogs to utilise the second-hand toys on offer, and to put them to good use for their amazing work.

That's one happy dog!
When we start working with a new litter of puppies, we have the very fun task of nicknaming them so we can report back at the end of each day; we like to call this the puppy report card. We can feedback things like their personalities and behaviour to our ethical breeder partners, this way they can start matching them to their perfect forever home. For example, an active puppy would be better suited to an active household.
This month we had some great themes: Superheroes, Harry Potter, Cocktails and Herbs & Spices. Our cocktail sausage litter became superstars on TikTok, especially Colada!
Our favourite photograph of the month, Paprika giving out all the oxytocin at Improbable!
One last thing...
Stay tuned for next month's round up, it’s mental health awareness month and it’s going to be busy!
