what gets their tail wagging most? Meeting new people!
what job do eddy and helena do? I work in marketing for a code security company, spending time between the London and home office. Eddy mostly spends time with me when I work from home, regularly appearing on video calls at the request of the rest of the team!
what was his first day in the office like? Absolute madness. Eddy came into work with me for the first time when he was just a few months old, and hadn’t been on the train much before that. Luckily, he made loads of friends both on the train and in the office.
how often does eddy go to the office? Eddy only goes into the London office every so often, as the commute is about 2hrs door to door, however when we do it’s like everyone’s Christmases have come at once. He gets so many cuddles!
what is his favourite thing to do in the office? Potter from desk to desk asking to be stroked!
does eddy like sharing his office space? Eddy is such a sociable dog, so he absolutely loves being in the office. He alsoseems to enjoy the home office, as he and I go on regular lunchtime walks acrossthe fields and woods! He spends most of the time at my feet under the home office desk asleep!
other than you (of course) who is his favourite colleague? Eddy has a special friend in the office called sean. The two of them bonded from the moment they met, and Eddy loved to spend time by sean’s desk whilst he wasworking! Saying that though, Eddy will love absolutely anyone he meets, as long as they give him bum scratches...
how has having eddy at work improved the working environment? Eddy is such a big fan of fuss, cuddles and generally being around people. There have been many times, especially when working from home when I’ve been stressed out and I just take time out to give him a cuddle, or go on a walk and it's like all of my problems disappear. Most of the time it’s just the two of us in the fields or forest, and so all you think about is the environment you’re in, and throwing the ball back and forth. I've actually had some of my greatest ideas work-wise when out on a walk with Eddy too! Getting him was the best decision we ever made.
does eddy ever get up to mischief/any embarrassing office stories? Eddy can be quite a vocal dog and tells you when he’s not happy or bored. When he last came into the office, after all of the mayhem had calmed down, and everyone got back to work, he would regularly every 10 minutes get up, walk to a different spot in the office and FLOP to the ground with a very loud sigh - such a drama queen! He also loves to chase other dog's balls and roll in fox poo which can cause many embarrassing moments for me when out on a walk!
paws in home bonus question! how is eddy coping with the uk on lockdown? He’s a little confused as to why he’s not seeing his mates at doggy daycare anymore, as when I’m in the office he goes there if he doesn’t come with me, however, he seems to be quite content with us being here more! We try to make sure our one exercise per day is secluded in the woods or fields, where it’s usually empty so we can have a good explore for a couple of hours which tires him out. He’s usually pretty content with one long walk a day, and we have a good size garden so he's got space to potter, but is pretty sleepy most of the day anyway.
